In Loving Memory of Alton Ray Anderson

A loving son, compassionate brother, proud uncle, loyal cousin, and faithful friend, Alton Ray Anderson—gone too soon—at Baylor Dallas, passed away on May 27, 2026. Born on October 7, 1966, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas to Benny and Nelda Anderson, Alton grew into a man whose heart was as generous as his smile was bright. He is preceded in death by his father, Benny, and his sister, Bennie Anderson. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Nelda, and his sisters Paula Taylor, Teresa Wilson (Chris), and Latoshia Anderson. Also, he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, uncles and friends.

Alton’s life was filled with music—his passion, his comfort, and his joy.

Gerald Levert was his favorite artist, and Alton himself was gifted with the ability to play several instruments, including the keyboard, tuba, and trombone. A proud Lincoln High School Tiger, he played in the band and sang in the school choir, where his talent and intellect shined. His voice also graced the choir stands of Antioch Church during his youth, lifting hymns with sincerity and soul.Alton had a heart that never hesitated to give. If he had it, you had it. His love for people was unmatched, and his humor—quick, witty, and unforgettable—brought laughter to every room he entered. He carried himself with a cocky brilliance, a kind spirit, and a deep devotion to the people he loved.Above all, Alton will be remembered for his unwavering love for family. That love was his anchor, his joy, and his legacy. He leaves behind memories that will be cherished, stories that will be retold with laughter and tears, and a presence that will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.

May his music live on in our hearts, and may his love continue to guide us.

A Celebration of Alton's life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at ClearPath Cremation Center Chapel.
