Daniel Joseph Shaw

Daniel “Danny” Joseph Shaw passed away following a sudden illness on December 6, 2025, at the home of his longtime friend, William “Bill” Humston — a place where Danny found peace, safety, and a true sense of home.

Danny moved to Texas in the late 1990s and made it his own. He loved music, motorcycles, and art, and he was extraordinarily gifted — able to draw anything set before him. His intelligence was remarkable, his humor quick, and his curiosity boundless; friends often joked he could answer Jeopardy! questions before the contestants.

Danny had a huge heart. He was kind, deeply loyal, and fiercely loved his friends and dogs. In recent years, he was proud of his recovery and the life he was building, including purchasing his own motorcycle and embracing a new chapter filled with hope and joy.

Danny is survived by the friends who became his family: William “Bill” Humston, Lana Shelton Lanamac, Jarrod Burks, Josh Burks, Michelle Shelton, Dillon Castleberry and James Hart.

He will be remembered for his creativity, his brilliance, his kindness, and the love he shared so freely.
