Jasmine Zenobia Coleman
Sunrise: November 6, 2003 - Sunset: June 26, 2026
Jasmine Zenobia Coleman was born on November 6, 2003, in San Diego, California. In 2019, she made the Dallas/Fort Worth area her home, where she continued to grow into the vibrant young woman so many came to know and love.
Jasmine was truly one of a kind. She was outspoken, loving, spunky, and the unmistakable life of every party. She possessed a free spirit that refused to be confined by expectations or labels. She lived authentically, embraced her individuality, and encouraged others to do the same. Jasmine simply could not be put in a box—she was unapologetically herself.
A creative soul, Jasmine had a deep appreciation for art and fashion. She dreamed of becoming a fashion designer, expressing herself through creativity and personal style. Halloween was one of her favorite times of the year because it gave her another opportunity to dress up and showcase her imagination. She also had a special love for Hello Kitty, whose playful charm reflected a little of Jasmine's own joyful spirit.
Jasmine loved both sides of the camera. She enjoyed capturing special moments through photography, but she was equally at home in front of the lens, where her bright smile and vibrant personality naturally shined. Whether surrounded by family or friends, she had a gift for making people laugh and creating memories that would not soon be forgotten.
Family was deeply important to Jasmine. As the oldest of four sisters, she naturally stepped into the role of protector. She shared an especially close bond with her sister, Madalynn Coleman. Born just 364 days apart, they affectionately called themselves "Irish twins," but more importantly, they were best friends. Madalynn remembers Jasmine as the sister who was always looking out for her, standing beside her, and fiercely protecting her. Jasmine also shared a loving bond with her younger sisters, Sonora Jackson and Isabelle Coleman.
Jasmine's daughter, Raven Zahara Jaipaul, held a special place in her heart. She loved spending time with Raven, especially taking her to the park where they could simply enjoy being together. Those moments reflected the love Jasmine had for her daughter and will remain cherished memories for those who shared them. One of the greatest gifts Jasmine leaves behind is the love she had for Raven—a love that will forever be a part of her daughter's story.
Though Jasmine's time on earth was far too brief, the love she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the unforgettable spirit she carried will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Those left to mourn and forever cherish her memory include her beloved daughter, Raven Zahara Jaipaul; her loving mother, Shelby Jackson and Herman Williams, her father, Jamarr Coleman, and his wife, Nancy; her sisters, Madalynn Coleman, Sonora Jackson, and Isabelle Coleman; her grandfather, Willie Ray Jackson, Jr.; her grandmother, Jackie Gilmore; her grandfather, Jamarr Coleman, Sr.; her aunt, Natasha "TeTe" Jackson-Martin and Uncle Geno, Auntie Chasna Spotwood, her God-Father "Chief" along with many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever blessed by knowing her.
Although our hearts are filled with sorrow, we are grateful for the joy Jasmine brought into our lives. Her fearless spirit, infectious smile, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her, and her legacy lives on through the lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service honoring Jasmine will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the chapel of ClearPath Cremation Center, 711 W. Dickey Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051.
