Juan Dominguez Contreraz, 72, of Arlington, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at an Arlington hospital. Born in Kermit, Juan spent most of his life in the Grand Prairie and Arlington area and had lived in Arlington for the past 20 years.
One of seven children born to Jose Diaz and Manuela Contreraz, Juan was known as a good man with a kind heart who deeply loved and protected his family. In his younger years, he was an accomplished boxer and came close to competing in the Golden Gloves. His brothers fondly remembered not only his boxing talent, but also the way he stood up for and protected those he loved.
Juan attended Bible Missionary Church in Grand Prairie and had been a longtime attendee of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Arlington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie.
Juan is survived by his daughters, Jessica and Sylvia; his sons, Joseph and Steven; and his brothers, Adon, Angel, and Mario.
The family will hold private memorial services at a later date.
