Rickey Beeler

October 5, 1959 ~ February 9, 2026

Rickey G. Beeler, age 66, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away Monday morning at his home, surrounded by the place and life he loved.

Rickey was born in Wichita, Kansas, to Owen Lee Beeler and Mary Gwendolyn Embry Beeler. In 2002, he made his home in Alvarado, Texas, where he put down deep roots and built a life centered on family, hard work, and the simple pleasures of country living.

On January 24, 2003, Rickey married the love of his life, Anita, in Midlothian, Texas. Together they shared 23 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and devotion.

Rickey worked for many years as an auto mechanic before being medically retired. Even after retirement, his love for working with his hands never faded. He especially enjoyed tinkering on old cars—Dodge was always his favorite—and spending time raising his chickens and faithfully cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, a team he followed with lifelong loyalty. Those who knew Rickey knew he was happiest when he was fixing something, building something, or simply enjoying the quiet of home.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rickey is survived by his beloved wife, Anita Beeler of Alvarado, Texas; his children, Eric Beeler of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Junell Beeler of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Christy Stewart and husband Casey of Palmer, Texas, Chad Spurlock and wife Amy of Palmer, Texas, and Misty Spurlock of Dallas, Texas; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy.

He is also survived by his brothers, Jerry Beeler of Wichita, Kansas, Mike Beeler of Godley, Texas, and David Beeler of Whitney, Texas; his sister, Delta Meadows of Wichita, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.

Rickey was the baby of the family and, heartbreakingly, the first of his siblings to pass. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, his love of family, and the quiet, steady way he showed up for the people he loved.
